Project Manager
British Columbia, Canada (2011)

Project Manager for federally-awarded grant to engage patients as partners in health system redesign. Involved multi-stakeholder group involving BC Ministry of Health Services, a regional health authority and major provincial university, as well as other partner organizations. Facilitator and participant of Joint Management Committee, preparation of various project management products (e.g. project plan, project charter, risk register).

Principal Consultant On Program Evaluation
British Columbia, Canada (2010)

Principal Consultant for large First Nations community in British Columbia, conducting large scale health services evaluation, including surveys and focus groups, identification of major health issue themes for future action, and preparation of required Health Services Transfer Agreement for Health Canada funding (completed every five years).

Workshop Coordinator
British Columbia, Canada (2010)

Subcontractor to Principal Consultant for provincial End-of-Life (EOL) project to be developed by provincial agency. Included collaboration with identified provincial 'champions' in BC and Alberta Health Authorities to develop a two-day EOL workshop. Familiarity required with EOL Strategy, background documents and reports, and learning objectives for the workshop were developed.

Project Manager

Project manager for post secondary institution's competency review of their Critical Care Specialty Nursing curriculum. Responsible for managing all efforts between various critical care nursing stakeholders from all BC Health Authorities in order to create and prepare a proposed updated critical care curriculum for the BC Ministry of Health Services.

Provincial RN Certification
British Columbia, Canada (2009-2010)

Primary Consultant and Subject Matter Expert on partnership project between a post-secondary institution and non-profit organization. Subject matter expertise in the realm of Contraceptive Management was provided for the provincial RN certification project. The main products of this expertise took the form of final challenge exams for the Contraceptive Management and Sexually Transmitted Infections Management course, and the creation of the six to eight-week Contraceptive Management course itself, offered from late-2009, as well as the 12-week Sexually Transmitted Infections Management course offered from early 2010.

Primary Consultant. Project management was provided for this partnership project between BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) and OPT (Options for Sexual Health). There were two smaller projects within the larger project, which pertained to the two areas of provincial RN certification that the partnership received Ministry of Health Services funding to complete: Contraceptive Management and Sexually Transmitted Infections Management. The CRNBC (College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia) will be responsible for maintaining a current roster for these RNs who will be practicing with an expanded clinical scope. For both clinical realms, challenge exams for currently practicing RNs were coordinated before the deadline set by the Ministry of Health Services, and education programs for both realms have been created. RNs new to the field are now able to enroll in these courses.

First Nations Elder Health Care Plan
British Columbia, Canada (2009-2010)

Primary Consultant for First Nations community. Needs assessment, feasibility study and recommendations report on the current and future Elder health care needs of a prominent First Nations community in Metro Vancouver. Results to be shared across Canada and presented at conferences as this is the first project of its kind to be funded in Canada.

Project Management for Critical Care Nursing Curriculum Evaluation
British Columbia, Canada (2009-2010)

Primary Consultant for post secondary institution. Project management on re-structuring of a critical care nursing program based on newly released national competency standards. Working team will include various critical care nurse experts in the province, as well as the post secondary institution's critical care program experts.

WHO International Project Global Infoway
Barcelona/Geneva, Europe (2008-2009)

Secondary Consultant for the World Health Organization, International. Inception phase of new Country Health Systems Intelligence project involving the architectural design, interpretation, and selection of critical information for the internal online content management system for all of the 193 Global WHO Member States. The project was initially focused on the 53 WHO African Member States (AFRO).

Policy & Curriculum Preparation for Provincial RN Certification
British Columbia, Canada (2008-2009)

Primary Policy Consultant for non-profit health care organization. Project pertaining to the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia certification of nurses in reproductive health. Preparation of a response to the Expression of Interest issued by the Ministry of Health Services with respect to the certification of RNs in British Columbia in the realm of reproductive health, and the creation of an exclusive curriculum and related training resources for nurses to meet the certification requirements.

Primary Consultant for non-profit health care organization. Policy development of a new Knowledge Translation department for the organization (including the creation of decision analysis models), facilitation of the Board of Directors retreat, involvement in the recruitment and selection of upper management positions in organization.

Key researcher for creation of global comprehensive article index of relevant articles relating to the benefits of computer systems- including economic, social and return on investment studies.
